Description
SunnyCal Solar Attic Fan is installed on sloped roof surfaces to automatically extract hot air from attic spaces. Â The 30W solar panel powers the fan motor directly from the sunlight. The SCS-2500 is adequate for up to 2500sq. ft. of attic space with a single 1900 CFM fan. The automatic thermo switch activates the fan when the temperature exceeds 80 degrees.
Simple installation requires only a 14″ hole in the roof, approximately 24: down from the roof peak. Fan-to-fan spacing for multiple units should be greater than 16 ft. Only a  single alignment screw needs to be installed in the attic, between rafters,  to ensure rafters are avoided. Then the circular template (provided with the fan) aids in defining the cut lines for making the hole.
In order to ensure unrestricted airflow, a 6.5sqft inlet opening is required.
Solar module can be rotated in order to achieve maximum power production.
