Description
This is a support structure only. Tall support structure for Solar-To-Go solar array for simple pick-and-place installation. This support can accept up to 90inches of solar modules, without use of rails(modules not included). For larger quantities of solar modules, rails can be added running perpendicular to the supports.
Distance between leg foundations is 8 feet. This single slope support is optimal for optimal south-facing position. The left-right spacing can be adjusted to accommodate various solar modules dimensions.
For simple assembly, modules can be attached directly to the steel supports using SunnyCal’s exclusive Sola-Clamps(patent pending). These optional clamps work with virtually any solar module, regardless of thickness or dimensions. Clamps attach directly to supports with self-drilling screws.
This Solar-To-Go Rack system can expanded by adding additional sections. Additional structures can be attached to existing sections with a slip-and-screw fitting method.
Rack can be protected against wind uplift and theft by use of SunnyCal Ground Screws. A simple impact tool can provide more than 300lbs of hold-down strength.
The sections can also be held in place by standard cinder blocks.
Rack can be bolted directly to shipping container rooftop edges using triangle angle gusset plate(specified with order).
Solar is made simple by:
- Rack can be preassembled for will call, or bundled in shortened format for shipping. (Sections can be transported using normal pickup or trailer)
- Can be specified to have leg foundations for surface resting or shipping container attachment
- Hold down can by ballasted weights, rebar-nails, concrete attachment or ground screws
- System can be expanded by adding additional sections, joined together by link tubes
- Engineering calculations available(optional)
- Optional clamps are available to secure virtually any solar module
- Optional Home-Grid inverter can be included. Inverters can offset 2000W of household load (assuming 550W modules)
Note, if home consumption is less than solar generation, local utility may require net metering program due to excess energy back feed to utility.
